Job Purpose:
Join our global certification body as an IATF Auditor, specialising in ISO 16949. This role involves conducting third-party audits for clients in the automotive sector, ensuring compliance with international standards. The IATF Auditor will play a key role in assessing and certifying quality management systems across various automotive organisations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit Execution:
- Conduct third-party audits for ISO 16949 (IATF) across the automotive industry, ensuring that client management systems comply with the required standards.
- Prepare detailed audit reports, documenting findings and providing actionable recommendations.
- Perform follow-up audits to verify corrective actions and ensure continuous improvement.
- Client Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on quality management practices and certification requirements.
- Provide expert guidance on ISO 9001 and ISO 16949 implementation, management, and continuous improvement processes.
- Assist clients in understanding audit outcomes and support them in meeting certification criteria.
- Travel Requirements:
- Be available to travel extensively both within Spain and internationally to conduct audits.
- Adapt to varying client environments and manage audit schedules efficiently.
- Technical Expertise:
- Utilize tools such as SPC (Statistical Process Control), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis), and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) during audits to assess compliance with technical requirements.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in automotive quality standards and auditing techniques.
- Reporting and Communication:
- Communicate audit results effectively to both internal teams and client management.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistency and high standards in auditing practices.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training sessions to maintain audit expertise.
Key Competencies:
- Industry Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the automotive sector and ISO 16949 (IATF) standards.
- Audit Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in implementing, managing, consulting, or auditing ISO 9001 and ISO 16949.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in SPC, FMEA, MSA, and APQP tools.
- Communication: High command of English; additional languages such as French or German are an advantage.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel both nationally and internationally.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyse complex processes effectively.
Qualifications:
- Higher education qualification in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Certified lead auditor for ISO 16949 and ISO 9001 is preferred.
- Fluency in English (a level test will be performed); additional language skills are highly valued.
