Role Overview:
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-known US certification body that are seeking a qualified IATF Lead Auditor to join its expanding ISO Field Audit Team in various locations. The company is experiencing rapid growth in demand for its auditing services and is looking for candidates from diverse professional backgrounds who can communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. While experience in auditing ISO standards is beneficial, it is not mandatory. A passion for personal growth and development is essential.
Scope of Role:
As an IATF Lead Auditor, you will conduct supplier audits for small, medium, and large organizations within your designated region. After completing any necessary training, you will be responsible for documenting and preparing detailed analytical reports summarizing audit results. You will report directly to the Chief Service Delivery Officer and work closely with the Compliance Team to meet the certification body's stringent standards and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct audits under supervision until necessary competencies and sector (EA) codes are assigned.
- Assess management systems to determine conformity with specified requirements.
- Evaluate the capability of management systems to ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
- Determine the effectiveness of implemented management systems in achieving specified objectives.
- Identify areas for potential improvement in management systems.
- Plan audits effectively, utilizing available resources efficiently.
- Lead opening and closing meetings for audits and maintain clear communication with auditees.
- Resolve conflicts and ensure smooth audit processes.
- Prepare and finalize comprehensive audit reports.
Personal Specifications:
Essential Requirements:
- IRCA or equivalent qualification in IATF 16949 (consideration given to part-qualified candidates).
- Previous experience in auditing.
- Industry knowledge and experience in the aerospace sector.
- Experience in audit, control testing, risk identification, or audit analysis.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to build and manage professional relationships at various levels.
- Valid, clean driving license and willingness to travel extensively.
Desirable Requirements:
- A degree or equivalent qualification/experience.
- Approved lead auditor, ideally with full green ADP exams.
- Relevant professional certifications, such as Lead Auditor courses (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 27001, 22301, 13584).
- Senior management or directorship experience in a commercial industry.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base salary of $90,000 to $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
