Job Purpose:
As a Lead Auditor for a global certification body, you will be responsible for conducting third-party audits across multiple standards, ensuring client compliance with international regulations. This role requires extensive knowledge of various management systems and standards, as well as fluency in German. The Lead Auditor will work with diverse industries, providing expert assessments and maintaining the highest levels of auditing integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit Execution:
- Lead third-party audits across multiple standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, ISO 22301, ISO 22000, IATF 16949, AS9100, and BRCGS.
- Conduct on-site and remote audits, ensuring that client management systems meet the required standards.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports, documenting findings, and offering practical recommendations for improvement.
- Client Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a key point of contact for all audit-related activities.
- Provide guidance on the implementation and maintenance of management systems in line with relevant standards.
- Support clients in understanding audit outcomes and assist them in achieving and maintaining certifications.
- Technical Expertise:
- Utilize a broad understanding of management systems across various industries, adapting audit techniques to specific client needs.
- Stay informed about updates and changes to standards, ensuring audits are conducted according to the latest requirements.
- Apply sector-specific knowledge, particularly in specialised areas like automotive, aerospace, food safety, and information security.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure all audits comply with internal policies, accreditation requirements, and international standards.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of audit activities, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Report audit results to clients and the certification body, highlighting areas of non-conformance and opportunities for improvement.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training programs to enhance auditing skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the development of auditing methodologies and best practices within the certification body.
- Share insights and experiences with global audit teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

- Audit Expertise: Extensive experience in auditing multiple standards across various industries.
- Client Focus: Strong ability to build and manage client relationships, providing clear guidance and support.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, ISO 22301, ISO 22000, IATF 16949, AS9100, and BRCGS.
- Communication Skills: Fluent in German with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to conduct thorough audits and provide precise, actionable feedback.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working with diverse clients across different sectors, adjusting audit approaches as needed.
Qualifications:
- Higher education qualification in a relevant field such as Quality Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, Information Security, or related disciplines.
- Certified Lead Auditor credentials across multiple standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.).
- Fluency in German is mandatory; proficiency in English is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing or consulting for management systems.
